What Is Animated Drawing? From One Image to a Short Video

Meet Animated Drawing, an independent web app that turns one photo or drawing into a five-second video with sound. Learn what you can make and what it costs.

Animated Drawing is an independent web app for turning one still image into a short video with sound. You might start with a drawing, an old photograph, a pet photo, or a character image you keep coming back to.

We call the finished five-second video a Moment. You can watch it in your account, download it, or share it. You do not need to draw a skeleton, place joint markers, or learn an animation editor.

What can you bring?

Start with one image that is clear enough to see on its own. The subject does not have to be a person with outstretched arms.

  • A photograph: a portrait, an old family picture, or a small everyday scene. The motion is newly imagined; it is not recovered footage of what actually happened.
  • A pet photo: a familiar face, a pose, or a look you want to see for a little longer.
  • A drawing or character image: your sketch, a painting, or a character image you have permission to use.

For more specific preparation advice, visit old photos, pet photos, or character images.

What do you get?

The current product creates one five-second, 1080p video with sound from a single image. Successful Moments are saved to your account automatically, and downloading the video is included. Saving it to Moments is not a second purchase.

The video adds movement and sound to the image. It does not reconstruct a person's actual voice, restore a historical event, or guarantee a particular gesture. It is also not a timeline editor or a way to combine a whole album into a slideshow.

How does the purchase work?

Generation uses 10 account credits per Moment. New accounts do not receive a free generation credit allowance. The regular first-purchase price is $3.99 for one Moment for eligible accounts; the purchase screen also offers packs of three, six, or twelve.

Buying credits does not start a video. After payment, you decide when to generate. You can continue with the same picture, choose another one, or use the credits later. These are one-time purchases, not subscriptions. Check the amount shown before paying for any current offer and applicable tax.

Read the pricing explanation if you want to know exactly where payment begins.

Is this the Meta Animated Drawings demo?

No. AnimatedDrawings.co is an independent product. Instructions for the Meta demonstration, such as marking limbs and choosing a preset dance, do not describe the current experience here.

If you arrived with a photograph rather than a drawing, you are still in the right place. The starting point is the image you want to bring, not a specific drawing format.

Start with one image

Choose a clear source, sign in when asked, and confirm generation when you are ready. When the Moment is ready, you can find it in Moments and decide whether to download or share it.
