How to Use Animated Drawing: Choose, Create, and Save

A practical walkthrough of choosing an image, signing in, buying credits, confirming generation, and saving your five-second Moment.

You can start Animated Drawing with a photo, sketch, painting, or character image. The current experience turns one image into a five-second video with sound. It does not ask you to position joints or choose a preset dance.

This guide follows the path from a picture on your phone or computer to a Moment saved in your account.

1. Choose the image you want to bring

Use a picture you can see clearly at its normal size. Keep the main subject in the frame and avoid text covering its face or body. A close-up does not need to become a full-body picture; choose the framing you actually want to work from.

For a drawing on paper, take the photo straight on in even light. Avoid glare and a shadow from your phone. For a photo from an album, a clear scan or a carefully photographed print is a better starting point than a tiny screenshot.

On a phone, you can also use the camera option. Opening the file chooser, or canceling it, does not purchase anything or start a video.

2. Sign in and check the source

Sign in when the app asks you to continue. Your account holds your credits and saved Moments. Check that the image shown is the one you meant to use before confirming generation.

If you want a different image, change it first. You do not have to explain a mood, select an animation style, or write a technical instruction.

3. Add credits if you need them

Each Moment uses 10 credits. New accounts do not receive free generation credits. The regular first-purchase price is $3.99 for one Moment; larger packs are also available in the price and credit explanation. Check the amount shown before paying for any current offer and applicable tax.

Payment adds credits to your account. It does not start generation or lock those credits to the current photo. You can return to that image, select another, or leave and use your balance later.

If you cancel checkout, you can return to the purchase screen. If a payment is still being confirmed, allow that confirmation to finish before attempting another payment.

4. Confirm generation

When you are ready, confirm generation from Creation. The app keeps your source visible while it works. This takes processing time; a five-second video does not mean a five-second wait.

The result includes generated sound. It is a new interpretation of the image, not a recording of the original scene or someone's actual voice. The photo-to-video with sound page explains how this differs from adding your own music or making a slideshow. If you need exact choreography, spoken dialogue, or frame-by-frame editing, those controls are not part of this flow.

5. Watch, save, or share

A successful Moment is saved to your account automatically. There is no separate paid Keep step. Open Moments to find it again, download the video, or use Share. If sound is muted by your browser, use the sound control while watching.

Downloading is an explicit action, separate from saving the Moment in your account. Choose New when you want to begin with another image; your saved Moments remain available.

If you need to pause or something goes wrong

  • Before generation: you can keep your credits for another image or another day. Purchasing does not commit you to making a video immediately.
  • Upload failure: retry the upload from the image shown, or choose the file again if asked. An upload error is not a completed video.
  • Technical generation failure: the credits held for that failed job are returned. Follow the recovery action shown before starting a new attempt.
  • Payment uncertainty: check the purchase status and account balance first. Contact support if the payment and balance still disagree.

If yours is a paper sketch, this drawing preparation guide covers lighting, framing, and what to expect.
